Red Hot Press Exhibitions

A new exhibition is Made in Southampton.

The exhibition entitled 'Made in Southampton,' runs until the 3rd October 2008. At the Level 4 Gallery of the Hartley Library, University of Southampton, Highfield Campus, University Road, Southampton SO17 1BJ.

The exhibition features subjects as diverse as TV funny man Benny Hill’s influence on his home town, to intrepid aviator Amelia Earhart’s visit to Woolston, to Henry V’s historic departure for France for the battle of Agincourt. And bringing the show right up-to-date are more contemporary images showing trees under threat from modern developments, containers at Southampton docks and the commemorative brass cross outside Holyrood Church.

All of the original prints on display are created by members of the workshop and feature in a box set of original prints accompanying the exhibition that is for sale to the public.
