Welcome to Southampton's Printmaking Workshop.

Red Hot Press is an open access fine art print workshop dedicated to the production and promotion of original prints as a Fine Art medium. Sarah Mander and Katherine Anteney founded Red Hot Press in 2004.

It is a print facility that caters for relief and intaglio printmaking techniques.

All are welcome from interested beginners to accomplished printmakers to learn and use printmaking as a creative process.

New courses for the summer.

We are offering taster sessions in two printmaking techniques for you to come and try out these techniques.

Drypoint taster session Saturday 3 May 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5pm £25 per session. A three hour taught session to introduce drypoint plate making and printing. All materials provided.

Lino taster session Saturday 5 July 10am -1pm or 2pm - 5pm £25 per session
A three hour session teaching lino block cutting and printing. All materials provided.

Also new for the summer;

NON Toxic Etching Weekends;

Saturday/Sunday 24 & 25 May and Saturday/Sunday 19 & 20 July £95 for each weekend.

We are the only workshop locally to use this non-toxic etching technique. The course introduces a range of mark making and etching techniques. Ideal for beginners to etching.
