We have a great Collagraph Course coming up 23 – 24 March.
This weekend course is ideal for beginners to collagraphs and for people who want to brush up their skills. This course will cover constructed collagraph techniques, which is the process of creating a low relief ‘sculpted’ printing plate. This will enable you to make highly textured and beautifully embossed images. We will also experiment with different inking techniques to make richly coloured prints. We are sure you will get hooked on this fabulous technique. Sarah will be teaching this course and has been producing collagraphs for over 20 years.
Collagraphs can be simple, bold, abstract shapes, printed in black and white or they can be more complex multi-layered imagery. The thing they all have in common is that a collagraph is a beautifully embossed and textured print.
If you like working with materials and drawing and marking-making with materials then this is the printmaking technique for you.
